Runway documented knitted bodycon dress by Azzadine Alaia, in a deep teal green shade. A great example of the bodycon and seamed, fitted designs which became the brand's signature. The material is a medium thick wool, with tapered seams which emphasise the shape of the bust and waist. Featuring a high neck and full zip closure at the back, the dress echoes the garment worn by the model (pictured), for Fall/Winter 1989 collection, and so can be placed confidently within this era of Alaia's career. The sleeves are gathered at the elbow, and their fitted shape down to the wrist elongates the arm. Falling to the knee, this dress is perfect not only for more casual winter outfits, but also for evoking the sleek workwear trends of the late 80s.

The garment is in excellent barely worn vintage condition. Due to the nature of the stretch fabric, it would be suitable for anywhere between a 8-12 UK, or 4-8 US. Our model is a UK 8-10 and 5ft 11in (180cm) and this fit her well.
